The Hazu area in Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture, is a small town surrounded by mountains and the sea. “Luna Rossa” is an inn that opened in this town in 2017. The concept of the inn is "Earthing". Connect with the earth, throw away the emotions you don't need in everyday life, and recharge with new energy.

An extraordinary inn that changes your mind the moment you enter

Luna Rossa opened in June 2018. Currently, due to concerns about the spread of the COVID-19, they have changed the plan from this year to rent the entire inn. 4 to 5 people) 65,000 yen (excluding tax) * From 6 people + 9,000 yen per person (capacity 11 people) is accepted.

This is run by Mr. Yoshizaki, the owner of "Cafe Ocean" which was in operation from 2010 to the end of 2019.

Mr. Yoshizaki: “Originally, one of my dreams was to work in the accommodation business. I fell in love at first sight on a hill overlooking the sea, and decided that I could find my ideal lodging here, so I opened this place.”

This area is Mikawawan Quasi-National Park, a place where houses cannot be built along the sea. Luna Rossa was built as a retreat and was formerly a private residence. The building could not be seen from the road, and the neighbors did not even know it existed.

It is a magical place where you can experience an extraordinary atmosphere that will instantly change your mind the moment you enter the entrance. On the site of approximately 2,000 tsubo (approximately 2,000 m2), we are greeted by buildings, spacious lawns, and seasonal plantings.

Enjoy the spectacular view of Mikawa Bay

Along with the large garden with plants and flowers that can be enjoyed in every season, the most attractive thing is the view overlooking Mikawa Bay.

In front of you is Cape Irago, and on your right is the Chita Peninsula. The day I interviewed was fine weather with no clouds. I was able to see the mountains in the distance and the relaxing Mikawa Bay.

You can also sit on this chair in the garden and look at Mikawa Bay. Just looking at the superb view here will make your heart lighter.

In addition, there are swings in the garden, and they suggest ways to enjoy the outdoors.

Modern space with high design

This is the appearance of Luna Rossa. The chimney roof is impressive.

The former landlord had a yacht and inherited the name of the yacht, "Luna Rossa". The lighting that makes you feel like a yacht at the entrance is also impressive.

This is the lobby and common space on the first floor. Large windows offer gorgeous views.

There is a retreat space in the back of the first floor. Here you can enjoy yoga, enjoy movies with a projector, and many other ways to use it. (with fee)

And the second floor is the guest room. There are 12 tatami mats Western-style rooms and 6 tatami mats Japanese-style rooms. Each guest room is named after the moon.

Each room is equipped with a relaxing atmosphere. Some rooms have an ocean view and are very comfortable.

The bath is filled with the aroma of hinoki cypress. The large windows look out to the outside, and you can enjoy a herb bath using seasonal herbs picked in the garden.

Each room displays a favorite painting that the owner purchased in Hawaii. The natural touch will soothe your heart.

There is also a bookshelf where you can enjoy various books at the back of the second floor. You can read a special book filled with thoughts such as foods and life.

There is also a stove in the garden where you can enjoy a barbecue, and a stone oven where you can make stone oven pizza.

"There's nothing special here, but it's surrounded by nature, so you can put yourself in an extraordinary way. Get away from entertainment such as TV and mobile phones, enjoy nature, and sit. I want you to have a relaxing time here,” said the owner, Mr. Yoshizaki.
