MUJI HOTEL GINZA opened in Ginza 3-chome in April 2019. It is the third MUJI HOTEL following Beijing and Shenzhen in China, and the first in Japan. With the concept of "anti-gorgeous, anti-cheap," this is a hotel where guests can enjoy MUJI products while staying.
We will introduce plenty of rooms, from rooms that you are interested in to facilities that you can use without staying!
How to get to MUJI HOTEL GINZA?
MUJI HOTEL GINZA is about a 3-minute walk from Ginza Station B4 Exit. The hotel is located on the 6th to 10th floors of MUJI Ginza.
First, let's take a little detour to MUJI Ginza!
Global flagship store MUJI Ginza
MUJI Ginza is MUJI's global flagship store, boasting the world's largest floor space for MUJI alone. On the first floor, there is a space for selling fruit and vegetables, a first for MUJI, and boxed lunches are also available.
A "juice stand" made with seasonal fruits and vegetables.
They also have a bakery!
The most popular item is the buttery bread roll. It is open from 7:30 a.m. and there is counter seating nearby. Of course, the hotel's morning breakfast service is also available, but if you want to get a quickie, the bakery is the place to go.
From clothing to sundries, MUJI's classic products are all here. It is reassuring when you forget something!
The front desk using paving stones from 100 years ago
Let's finally go to MUJI HOTEL GINZA.
The interior uses natural materials such as wood, stone, and earth to create a space in line with MUJI's philosophy. The stones on the front wall are reused paving stones from the streetcar that used to run through Ginza.
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m., but for those who arrive a little early, we recommend Ginza Running! MUJI HOTEL GINZA lends out running clothes for a small fee so that you can enjoy Ginza. Of course, the clothes are from MUJI.
A minimal but spacious room
Now let's move on to the rooms that interest us!
MUJI HOTEL GINZA has a total of 79 guest rooms. There are 9 types of rooms from A to I. MUJI items are used from the interior to the amenities.
This time, I stayed in "Type C," which has the most number of rooms. The price is 29,900 yen per room, or 14,950 yen per person for two people, which is a very reasonable price range for the convenient location in Ginza. (Rates are fixed and do not change seasonally.)
Minimalist space with high ceiling
The guest rooms have an opening of only 2.1 m. The high ceilings and the effect of indirect lighting make the space look like a gallery. Storage and washroom space are also embedded in the wall for a clean and clear look!
The bed and desk are integrated. There is also a relaxing area on the window side, perfect for drinking tea or reading a book. Overall, the furniture is low, so it does not feel oppressive.
The desk is spacious, so it is also recommended for business use. Since there is no wall in front of the desk and it is open, the work has progressed considerably.
Incidentally, the lighting and air conditioning in the room are controlled by this tablet. When the alarm and curtains are interlocked, the morning sun comes in at the same time as you wake up, for the best morning ever.
You can even check the names of MUJI items in the guest room on the tablet.
A glass-enclosed bathroom that looks like you're in another country. A nice point is the spacious bathtub where you can stretch your legs and the overhead shower.
Over there and here! MUJI items
Being a MUJI hotel, I imagined that the amenities and interior design would be MUJI, but it was filled with more MUJI items than I expected. This must be a must for Mujira.

Welcome sweets are also from MUJI.
Amenities are also from MUJI.
Home appliances are also from MUJI.
It's nice to be able to actually try out MUJI items!
One point that made me happy was the ability to actually try out MUJI items. For example, with the aroma diffuser, you can choose your favorite fragrance from two types of aroma oil at the front desk and actually experience it in your room.
Chose lavender fragrance. The fatigue of the trip will be relieved.
Sencha and coffee are also available in a dedicated drip pod. Easy to operate, you can drink delicious tea quickly. I thought this would be good for busy mornings and during work.
It is nice to be able to try out home appliances in this way, as there are not many opportunities to actually try them out. If you like an item, you can immediately purchase it at the MUJI store located below the hotel!
