VIBURNUM's lesson
With an emphasis on conveying British floral culture, the floral arrangement classes that are held regularly are also very popular. Some of the students have been coming to the school for nearly 20 years.
Each time, a theme is set, and the students choose flowers at the store and arrange them freely according to their sensibilities.
Ms. Tanase: “Selecting flowers is more difficult than choosing the materials you are given. Ideally, you should be able to buy the flowers yourself and arrange them however you like.”
For example, June was a summer lease. Wreaths using designated flower materials such as Sankirai are finished with different works depending on the sensitivity of the students even with the same flower materials.
In addition to regular lessons, they also hold workshops twice a year.
VIBURNUM's bridal flowers
Ms. Tanase was involved in many wedding works in London. In addition to coordinating bridal bouquets, wristlets, and hair ornaments, they also handle flower arrangements for wedding ceremonies.
A bouquet of three kinds of cherry blossoms. Although cherry blossoms have the characteristics of flowers and are delicate, they are made with calculations so that they will be in the most beautiful state on the wedding day. Even such a difficult bouquet is created with the knowledge and skills of Ms. Tanase.
Gardening at VIBURNUM
At Viburnum, they have a lot of seedlings and pots for gardening. In particular, it seems that the number of requests for gardens and verandas has increased due to the increased time spent at home.
Ms. Tanase, who also studied gardening in England, has created a garden with a natural atmosphere that is similar to that of an English garden. They suggest gardening suitable for the climate and topography of Nagoya.
A bridge that connects Japan and the rest of the world with flowers
VIBURNUM has just entered its 21st year, celebrating its 20th anniversary in June of this year. I asked about future prospects.
Ms. Tanase:“It is important to introduce British flowers to Japan, and I am thinking of providing services for foreigners in Japan. I think the shape of florists will change in the future, so I want to keep up with the times and give shape to that."
Ms. Tanase, who has experience working overseas, said that she wants to be a receptacle.
I felt that the company has been supported for 20 years because it continues to change and stay close to the needs of its customers while keeping the London style at its core. Viburnum offers a proposal that will accompany you from everyday to special occasions. Please come and visit us.
