[Gifu city] "florist GREEN VEIL" A Flower Boutique Full of Parisian Atmosphere

The flower shop "florist GREEN VEIL" has been in business for over 20 years in Sakaicho, Gifu City. This is a shop that proposes a sophisticated flower scene, with fresh flowers and greens in beautiful colors, and miscellaneous goods that are full of attention and sense.

This time, we will deliver such a view of the world of GREEN VEIL.

The location is about a 10-minute walk from JR Gifu Station. It is located along Gifu West Street. There is a parking lot in front of the restaurant, so you can access by car.

A shop where flowers and antiques harmonize

When you open the door, a space filled with seasonal flowers and voluminous greenery spreads out in front of you.

The flowers are not too plain, not too flashy, and have beautiful colors.

The store is filled not only with flowers, but also with vases and sundries. Miscellaneous goods and antiques collected mainly from France and other countries are displayed in harmony with the vintage-inspired fixtures. Handmade goods by artists are also sold.

A chic and beautiful glass base. The various items on display have a sense of unity, and just being in the store is enough to lift one's spirits.

Southern France fragrance brand "MAD et LEN". A room fragrance made of amber resin impregnated with oil creates a high-quality space just by placing it in the room.

Based on the concept of Parisian taste

GREEN VEIL opened in 2000. With the concept of "Paris taste", the roots of this restaurant go back 23 years when the owner, Ms. Shoko Hibi, spent time in Paris.

Ms. Hibi started her flower career in her early twenties. After gaining experience in flower shops and bridal shops, I went to France to see the flower shops in Paris at least once before opening my own shop. There, he had a chance encounter and decided to work at a local flower shop.

Ms. Hibi:She was a wonderful owner who taught me step by step how to make arrangements and bouquets from morning till night.

During the days spent in Paris, she was greatly inspired.

Ms. Hibi:“The style was completely different. Twenty-three years ago, the mainstream in Japan was red roses with baby's breath at that time, but the gradation of colors was beautiful, and the display was not just placed there, but had a world view. I was impressed by the matching of the old building and the addition of antique accessories and furniture."

Ms. Hibi: "I couldn't forget the splendor of the moment I stepped in, and I wanted to create a flower shop that would make you feel as if you were in Paris."

The store name is said to have been named "florist GREEN VEIL" with the desire to create a space wrapped in a green veil.

Since then, he has traveled to France every year to purchase miscellaneous goods and antiques. All the miscellaneous goods in the store are carefully selected based on Mr. Hibi's aesthetic sense.

2nd floor where you can shoot bridal photos

The second floor is a space where you can sell and sell foliage plants, and also use it as a rental studio for bridal photography. This place was originally used as a warehouse, and it was renovated a few years ago.

They handle a wide variety of greens that are close to your daily life.

The chic and beautiful pots are from the Belgian planter brand DOMANI.

Tabletop sized cacti and succulents are also available.

The back room is furnished with antique furniture and looks like a Parisian apartment. Enchanted by the wonderful view of the world. It can be used as a photography studio or a rental room.

At the time of the interview, tableware was displayed as shown here, but the decorations are sometimes changed to match seasonal events. Sometimes, artists plan sales events here.

There is a photo plan that allows you to take a pre-bridal photo shoot, and you can also rent a wonderful wedding dress and tuxedo.

Hair accessories and gloves are also available to match the dress.
