[Ghibli Park] I searched for all 15 types of "Ghibli's Lost Things (Bench)".

“Ghibli Park” opened in November 2022 at Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park (commonly known as Moricoro Park). In fact, there are plenty of areas and spots outside of the Ghibli Park area where you can fully enjoy the world of Studio Ghibli works.

When touring the free area, be sure to look for "Ghibli no Wasure-mono (Ghibli's forgotten items)."There are items left behind by Ghibli characters all over the park. There are 15 items in total.

This time, we actually looked for 15 types of Ghibli's forgotten items!

*The following sections contain spoilers, so please be careful if you don't want to know the items and locations of the objects.

Access to Ghibli Park

Main gate

Ghibli Park is located at the "Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park". It is just a short walk from "Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park" station after transferring to Linimo from Fujigaoka Station on the Higashiyama Subway Line.

Parking is available in the park, but access by public transportation is recommended, as the park is crowded on weekends.

Hill of Youth area & around the Great Lawn Square

First, let's look around the"Hill of Youth" area.Let's explore the area around the large lawn square!

"Castle in the Sky" Pazu's goggles, bag, and lantern

Near the "Elevator Tower" is Pazoo's Goggle Bag Lantern from "Castle in the Sky." It is located at the top of the stairs on the right after exiting the boarding area on the first floor of the elevator tower.

I'm curious about what's inside Pazu's bag! Does it contain that bread? !

"Tales From Earthsea" Allen's Sword

Let's head towards "World Emporium" in Hill of Youth area.

When I climbed the stairs with my back to World Emporium, I found Alan's sword from "Tales from Earthsea" next to the bench! It blended into the scenery quite well, so be careful not to miss it.

Return to the "elevator tower" area again and go to the road behind World Emporium building. There are three "Ghibli's forgotten items'' around this area.

"From Up on Poppy Hill" student bag/student cap

The first one is the student bag and cap from "From Up on Poppy Hill''. Did Shun Kazama forget something?

"Whisper Of The Heart" Shizuku's straw hat/book

The second item is Shizuku's hat and book from "Whisper of the Heart". Is it the book "Fairy Tail" that Shizuku borrowed from the school library?

<Click here for Google MAP>

"Porco Rosso" Sky Pirate's Dollar Bag

The third one is "Sky Pirate's Dollar Bag" from "Porco Rosso". It's quite large and has a strong presence, so it's easy to find! Is it Porco's prize money?

"Whisper Of The Heart" Cat Moon

Next, we headed to the area with the "Cat Castle Play Equipment" with the motif of "The Cat Returns"!

Sitting in a place overlooking the large lawn plaza was Moon, the cat who appears in "Whisper Of The Heart." It reminds me of that scene when we were traveling on a train.

Around “Touromon”

Pass through the large lawn plaza and head to the area around Touromon!

In the area that leads to Dondoko Forest, there is an Inaromon gate that is reminiscent of the oil shop in Spirited Away. The building, which was originally used as the gate of the former Japanese restaurant Inamoto and was designated as an important urban landscape building by Nagoya City, was relocated and preserved.

"Spirited Away" Sekijin

Right next to Touroumon is an object depicting the stone man that appears in the movie Spirited Away. It's like stepping into the world of a movie.

<Click here for Google MAP>

There's also an arbor, so it's perfect for a short break! Searching for Ghibli's forgotten items involves walking a considerable distance, so be sure to take frequent breaks.

"Pom Poko" raccoon object

"Dondoko Mori" area Let's head over there!

Immediately on your left as you walk along the walking path is a raccoon object from "Pom Poko". There are multiple paths, so it can be a bit confusing, so be careful.

Around “Dondoko Mori” area

As you continue along the walking path, you will come to a large fork in the road as shown in the photo. There are also items around here, so let's look for them!

"My Neighbor Totoro" Totoro souvenirs

What I found in the forest was a souvenir of Totoro from "My Neighbor Totoro." It's that souvenir that Totoro gave to Satsuki and Mei! Someone had also left a real acorn there.

<Click here for Google MAP>

"My Neighbor Totoro" Corn & Straw Hat

As we continued along the walking path toward the Dondoko Mori area, we found corn and straw hats from My Neighbor Totoro. Did Mei forget something?

If you look closely at the corn, you'll also see the words "To Mother" written on it!

Around "Japanese Garden"

Next, I decided to look around the “Japanese Garden”!

"The Tale of Princess Kaguya" Takenoko

Let's proceed from the "Dondoko Mori" area towards the Japanese garden.

A little further down from the main street where the bus passes is the takenoko (bamboo shoot) from "The Tale of the Princess Kaguya." It is quietly located on the road next to Kaede Pond. It's easy to find if you walk along the pond!

<Click here for Google MAP>

The bamboo shoots are so big that they can pass through the bench, making quite an impact!

"My Neighbors the Yamadas" Dad (Takashi Yamada)

As I walked along the path along the Kaede Pond, I found the father from "My Neighbors the Yamadas! The sight of her lying down looking out at the maple pond looks very comfortable.

There is also a gazebo right next door, so we recommend taking a short break with him.

Around “Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse” & “Koinoike”

"Ponyo on the Cliff" Sousuke's bucket and boat

Now let's go around the Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse.

What I found on a table along the road was Sousuke's bucket and boat from Ponyo on the Cliff. It's on the table, so it looks like it's something you forgot.

<Click here for GoogleMAP>

"The Borrower Arrietty" sugar cube/letter

What I found when I went further towards the  Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse was a sugar cube and a letter from "The Borrower Arrietty." It was placed on the table. It's very small, so be careful not to miss it.

"Spirited Away" Cantera lamp for directions

Finally, let's go to the final location! Proceed along the road between the carp pond and Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, and head towards the road surrounded by trees.

There was a cantera lamp that guided the way from "Spirited Away". It's made with so much detail that it looks like it's about to start moving!

This time, we introduced all of "Ghibli's forgotten items" I checked the location in advance and it took about 2 hours. If you would like to explore other free areas with your children, we recommend that you schedule plenty of time.

In addition, "Ghibli's Forgotten Items" are scattered throughout the park. It's a good idea to buy drinks and snacks in advance at the convenience store near the main entrance.

Please take a look!
