Thin and crispy! Plenty of red bean paste up to the tail
"Japan's No. 1 Taiyaki Toyoda Yakusa"

About 7 minutes drive from Ghibli Park. Nihon No.1 Taiyaki Toyota Yakusa is located in Ohata-cho, Toyota City. The thin, crispy crust is filled with red bean paste all the way to the tail!

The specialty of "Japan's No. 1 Taiyaki Toyoda Yakusa" is "homemade anko (red bean paste). They use carefully selected azuki beans from Hokkaido. Nitsurudo, a long-established confectionery maker in Fukuoka, has conducted extensive research on the anko (sweet red bean paste).

Another feature is the crispy thin skin! Since it is fermented and left in the refrigerator for a day, it is finished as soon as the dough runs out.

To achieve a crispy thin crust, a patented taiyaki oven is used. Furthermore, only those who have passed the Taiyaki certification test can become the "best Taiyaki baker in Japan!" The certification test is from level 1 to 5, and it takes more than 5 years of training to become a level 1 artisan.

There are four types of taiyaki: azuki bean, white bean, custard, and limited time offerings. The limited time offer is available in chocolate, Anno sweet potato, and green tea.

The most popular item is the "Azuki An (red bean paste)" made with homemade anko (red bean paste). Although it is filled with red bean paste, its light sweetness makes it easy to eat. It goes well with Japanese tea!

There is also a cosmetic box, so you can use it as a souvenir!

If you heat it in the microwave for about 30 seconds and bake it in the oven toaster for about 3 minutes, you can enjoy the crispy texture at home.
