A row of contemporary art, the Lucent Tower
⑬ Takenobu Igarashi “Komorebi”
The Aichi Public Art Exploration is finally coming to an end. Let's go to Lucent Tower! Here you can enjoy 5 works.
This one, right in front of Lucent Tower, is "Komorebi," a work by Takenobu Igarashi, whose work was also exhibited at Midland Square earlier.
Shapes based on natural motifs of mountains and the sea are cut out, casting shadows on the ground like sunlight through trees during the daytime. At night, the tower is illuminated, giving it a different appearance. It is a symbolic presence of Lucent Tower.
⑭ Minami Tada Associates “Symbol of Love”
A large ring displayed immediately after entering the Lucent Tower.
Minami Tada Associates "Symbol of Love". It seems that the image of people's loving hearts overflowing like a diamond.
⑮ Stéphane Calais“ Le rideau de Nagoya”
When we turned around, a bright mural jumped into my eyes.
Le rideau de Nagoya" is a work by Stéphane Calais. It is an abstract expression of the Lucent Tower's concept of light, decoration and nature. Stéphane himself painted the walls.
⑯ JAHANGUIR “Roots”
A large painting on the wall of the 1F office entrance is Mr. JAHANGUIR 's work "Roots".
It expresses dynamism and dance movements. The artist intentionally used "forms" that do not exist in nature. Reflected on the ceiling, the work seemed very three-dimensional.
Next is finally the last work in the Nagoya area.
⑰ Périphériques Architectes “Kaleidoscopic Garden”
Go down the stairs at the office entrance to the sunken garden in the restaurant area on the first basement floor.
Here is Périphériques Architectes "Kaleidoscopic Garden". The walls are made of mirrors, and the lighting panels on the floor change every moment. It's a fun work that makes you feel as if you've wandered into a kaleidoscope world!
This is the end of Public Art Exploration around Nagoya Station Edition.
It was more enjoyable than we had imagined. It was amazing to see how much art there is in the landscapes we usually see. It is good that the spots are set up like a stamp rally, so you can enjoy walking while having fun.
The course we toured this time took about one hour. Since it is mainly indoors, this course is recommended even during the hot season. We hope you enjoy exploring public art!
