[First shop in Nagoya] Badiani, a long-established gelato shop in Florence, Italy

Badiani, a long-established gelato shop in Florence, Italy, opened its third shop in Japan inside BAUM HAUS in Sakae, Nagoya City.

Badiani currently has 3 shops in Italy, 14 in the UK, 6 in Spain, 1 in France, and 2 in Japan, and this is its 27th shop and first in the Tokai region.

Their simple, traditional gelato without excess ingredients has captivated people from all over the world.
This time, we went to Badiani a step ahead of the others, and we will report on our visit.

What is Badiani?

Badiani is a long-established gelato shop that opened in the center of Florence, Italy in the summer of 1932.

There are many gelaterias in Florence, the birthplace of gelato, and among them, Badiani has won numerous awards and is a well-known shop loved by gelato lovers in the area.

All flavors at Badiani are supervised by chef Paolo Pomposi. Therefore, even though the ingredients are sourced from all over the country, you can still enjoy the same authentic Italian taste.

Badiani is located in the BAUM HAUS complex in Sakae, which is operated by Juchheim, a well-known baumkuchen company.

Badiani opened in BAUM HAUS EAT, a food hall with a cafe and bakery on the first floor.

In addition to 12 different flavors, the Nagoya shop offers "Kikori Cake Nagoya," a new type of dessert combining baumkuchen and gelato.

The most popular is "Buontalenti"

The most popular product at Badiani is "Buontalenti," a simple milk gelato made from cream, milk, sugar, and eggs.

It has a rich, creamy flavor that fills your mouth when you eat it. We were speechless at how delicious it was.

Most visitors to the shop order a combination that includes Buontalenti, and the Buontalenti Dolcevita, a twist on Buontalenti, is also very tasty, so be sure to give it a try.

It is a must-try flavor when you visit Badiani.

Enjoy flavor combinations!

With 12 flavors in total, you can enjoy a variety of taste changes depending on how you combine them. All flavors are fragrant and have an elegant taste that emphasizes the taste of the ingredients.

We especially liked hazelnuts and raspberries.

Find your favorite combinations such as Buon Talenti and Coffee, Hazelnut and Strawberry, and enjoy.

In addition, *THEO'S CAFE, located in the facility, will release limited collaboration sweets "Kikori Cake Nagoya" to coincide with the opening of Badiani.

The "Kikori Cake Nagoya" is a freshly baked baumkuchen with Buontalenti and mascarpone cream, and sprinkled with espresso and cocoa powder.

What is THEO?
THEO is an AI-equipped baumkuchen oven developed by Juchheim. By analyzing the baking conditions of dough baked by artisans using image sensors for each layer, the technology is machine-learned by AI and converted into data, enabling unmanned baking of baumkuchen of the same level as artisans.

As you eat, you can enjoy the changes in texture and taste.

This time, we introduced the Ngoya shop of Badiani, a long-established gelato shop in Florence, Italy.

Please enjoy the authentic taste of Italy.
