Natural/Pulped Natural Refining is the name given to the method of extracting coffee beans from coffee cherries. After harvesting the cherries from the coffee tree, the beans are dried in the sun or in a dryer, leaving the pulp intact, before removing the beans.

Compared to the method of removing the pulp, rinsing it with water and drying it (washed), it is easier to feel the sweetness and flavor of the pulp.
