Aichi Museum of Flight

Aichi Museum of Flight  opened on Thursday, November 30, 2017, on the grounds of the "Prefectural Nagoya Airport." The theme of the museum is to awaken a longing for the skies and to let visitors learn and experience what it means to fly. 

The facility is a fun place for families as well as aircraft fans, with a zone for displaying actual aircraft such as the YS-11, a domestically produced passenger aircraft, and the MU-2, manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and a hands-on corner for children and adults to enjoy.

Mizkan Museum MIM, located in Handa City, Aichi Prefecture, was completely renovated in November 2015.

This is a hands-on museum where you can enjoy learning about the history of vinegar-making by Mizkan, a company famous for vinegar, and the appeal of food culture. Handa is the birthplace of a groundbreaking innovation that produces vinegar from sake lees. It also triggered the Edomae-zushi boom.

The Mizkan Museum offers guided tours accompanied by staff (advance reservations required) every 30 minutes from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There is a 90-minute tour of the entire museum and a 30-minute tour of the Daichi no Kura. Popular hours and weekends tend to fill up, so be sure to make your reservations early!

About 15 minutes on foot from Nagoya Station. As part of the 100th anniversary project of Noritake, a manufacturer of western tableware that is loved around the world, Noritake Garden  was opened on the site of the former headquarters factory in Nagoya City. .

With the theme of "encountering culture and resting in the forest," this complex offers a museum, craft center, store, café, and various other facilities that can be enjoyed throughout the day. All facilities except for the craft center and museum are free of charge.

Mentaiko specialty theme park "Mentai Park" | Tokoname City, Aichi

Mentai Park

Mentai Park is a theme park specializing in mentaiko (seasoned cod roe) operated by Kanefuku, a long-established mentaiko producer. There are five locations nationwide, and in the Tokai area, it is located in Tokoname City, on the Chita Peninsula in Aichi Prefecture. This is the only park in the Chubu region.

It is a spot where both adults and children can play and learn, such as a mentaiko factory that can be visited for free, a direct sales store of freshly made mentaiko, a food court, and a mentaiko museum! Fresh must-eat mentaiko made at the factory must sell out, so come early!
