Enjoy Hida gourmet at "Gassho Chaya"
When you leave the footbath and take a walk, you can smell something fragrant.
Gassho Chaya is a restaurant and noodle place located right at the entrance. In addition to soba and udon, you can enjoy Hida's delicacies such as sasazushi, gohei mochi, and horse chestnut steamed bread. We couldn't help but stop by after being drawn to the words, "Why don't you take a break here?"
We had Goheimochi, a local dish from the mountainous areas of Gifu Prefecture that was baked at the shop. Sweet and salty sauce is irresistible. The aroma of walnuts is an accent.
Experience pottery painting at "Hida Kobo"
If you go further into the village, you will find the Hida Kobo, where you can experience pottery, pottery painting, and washi papermaking.
