The main attraction of Coffee House Kako Hanaguruma Honten is that it was the first store in Nagoya to introduce in-house roasting. Even today, we focus on “in-house roasting,” which was rare at the time. The coffee shop Mock is located a 5-minute walk from Nakamura Kuyakusho on the Higashiyama Subway Line. It was opened in 1979. “Cafe New Poppy” where You can Enjoy a Good Old-Fashioned Pure Coffee Shop
The Cafe New Poppy opened at the end of January 2019 in Shikemichi, where you can feel the history of Nagoya. Konparu Osu Honten is located a five-minute walk from Exit 8 of Nagoya City Subway Kamimaezu Station. The interior of the cafe, with its calm lighting, velvet chairs, and candy-colored tables, creates a retro Showa-era atmosphere.

The Morning Cafe Lyon is a coffee shop with a history that dates back to 1957, when the underground shopping mall opened at Nagoya Station. It is a very rare coffee shop, one of the few in the Tokai region where you can enjoy “Morning Breakfast” from opening until closing time.
Lyon offers two types of morning breakfast service: free breakfast that can be enjoyed for the price of a drink only, and paid breakfast (drink + additional charge).
The most popular morning breakfast menu item is the “Ogura An (black bean paste) Pressed Sandwich”. The pressed sandwich is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The texture and taste of the bread, which is different from toast, is addictive.

Preserving Nagoya’s Oldest Established Coffee Shop “Cafe Matsuba”｜Nishi Ward
Cafe Matsuba was established in the prewar Entonji shopping district in 1933. It is said to be the oldest coffee shop in Nagoya City, inheriting its flavor from the store that originated ogura (red bean paste) toast, one of Nagoya’s delicacies.
The “original Ogura Toast” has remained unchanged since the establishment of the company. It is a traditional flavor inherited from “Mitsuba”, which is said to be the birthplace of Ogura Toast.
