Japan's largest direct market "Marche VISON"
Japan's largest direct market "Marche VISON" is an "unprecedented market" created by 1-star Michelin Guide Paris chef Ryuji Teshima. The idea is to bring the passion of French and Spanish marchés to Japan.
It is a market filled with the charm of Mie Prefecture, which is rich in ingredients such as mountains, seas, and villages!
At the direct market "Marche VISON", you can find delicious agricultural products and processed products of high quality that are purchased daily by so-called chefs.
Pesticide-free or reduced pesticide farm products are lined up.
In the meat area, you can find delicious meat from Mie, such as "Wakatake", a butcher shop directly managed by Takeuchi Ranch, which raises Matsusaka beef in the local Taki town.
In the seafood area, you can find 'Ama-goya Nakagawa' where active ama divers will entertain you, and 'Wakiguchi Tuna' which is sold directly by 'Yamasa Wakiguchi Suisan' which has been in business for over 120 years.
Incidentally, next to the Marche booth is "rue de Terrace," a store that rents out equipment for BBQ and sells food, drinks, and other goods! You can enjoy the luxury of BBQing with direct produce from the market.
Patisserie & bakery shop by Mr. Tsujiguchi
"Sweets Village"
“Sweets Village” is a patisserie and bakery shop run by Mr. Hironobu Tsujiguchi, a patissier and chocolatier who has won numerous awards.
Mr. Tsujiguchi's patisserie "Confiture H" is a true local production for local consumption. The ingredients are selected at a location that is closer to the ingredients than anywhere else, and created using a unique production method. You can enjoy cakes, baked goods, confiture, etc. that have been carefully considered not only in terms of taste, but also in terms of sight and aroma.
Bakery "Mariage de Farine" by Hironobu Tsujiguchi.
They offer bread that can only be produced here by grinding wheat produced in Mie Prefecture with a stone mill in the store and combining carefully selected wheat.
A facility where you can touch, learn, and play with trees
"Kiond"
“kiond” is a facility for experiencing trees and forests, which opened in the wood education area (Mokuiku area).
The concept is "a place of beginnings that connects people and trees." Various hands-on programs are available, such as workshops for making furniture and art works from wood, and forest activities such as making fires.
There is also a wooden playground and a library cafe with about 1,500 books related to nature. It is an experience-based facility that both adults and children can enjoy.
The fun at KIOND is not limited to the inside of the facility. A variety of outdoor "forest activities" programs are also available.
In addition to forest walks, visitors can experience first-time bonfire building, plank BBQ, and other experiences that awaken the five senses, which they may not encounter in their daily lives.
Enjoy original medicinal herbal bath!
"Honzo area" where you can feel the power of plants
"Honzo area" centered on bathing facilities with the theme of "healing with the power of plants".
In the "Honzo Area," made possible through joint research between Mie University and Rohto Pharmaceutical, visitors can enjoy 72 kinds of herbal baths throughout the year, formulated based on VISON's original idea of "72 seasons of medicinal herbs".
There are plenty of spots where you can be healed by the power of plants, such as "Wellness Salon by TEUZUSIKI", a salon with a world-class wellness menu, "LeFuro", a mineral mist bath, and "Honzo Research Institute RINNE", a café where you can enjoy tea using herbs!
You can enjoy 72 types of medicinal herbal baths
There are two types of baths, "Suikyou" and "Koin." The men's and women's baths change depending on the day.
The medicinal herb bath uses seasonal medicinal herbs grown in the facility and in the surrounding medicinal herb fields. You can enjoy 72 types of medicinal herbal baths that change every 5 days throughout the year. The scent was gentle and very soothing.
Mineral Mist Bath "LeFuro"
Mineral mist bath “LeFuro” is a hot topic in Nishi-Azabu and Kamakura.
By wrapping your whole body in a mist rich in over 30 kinds of high-quality natural minerals, you can refresh your body and mind.
I couldn't take a photo this time because the bathroom is covered in mist, but the temperature is about 40 degrees Celsius, which is lower than a typical sauna. After bathing in mineral mist, relax on the terrace!
A Salon with World-class Wellness Menus
From Mallorca, Spain! "Wellness Salon by TEUZUSIKI" produced by beauty artist Sally Suzuki.
It is a salon that offers menus such as herbal reflexology, menus that use all plants such as flowers, leaves, and roots to make breathing easier, and athlete techniques that support emotional purification.

Mr. Masahiro Kasahara, the owner of "Sanpi-ryoron", which is famous for being the most difficult Japanese restaurant to take reservations in Japan, has created "Kasa-an Sanpi-ryoron". You can enjoy Japanese cuisine with unique arrangements of Mie ingredients.
In the evening menu, you can also enjoy course meals such as "Omakase Course (6,900 yen)" and "Special Course (9,500 yen)".
An area that spreads the culture of cooking utensils

The barn-like building made with one of the largest clay walls in Japan is a museum based on the concept of "food."
Various utensils related to "food" made in various parts of the world are selected from a unique perspective and displayed as if they were works of art.
There is no sequential tour of the museum. The works are displayed as they are, without showcases, in the hope that visitors will see them without filters.
The museum store, which is attached to the museum, displays and sells high-quality cooking utensils made by contemporary craftsmen and kitchen tools of functional beauty. The museum shop will serve as the flagship of VISON, presenting the cultural elements of the facility through "food".
Gallery uhaku (gallery shop)
A small white hut standing in the middle of greenery is the gallery and shop "Gallery uhaku" with the concept of "white".
The store also sells delicious soft serve ice cream!
