The "INAX Museum" operated by LIXIL in Tokoname, the city of pottery, is a hands-on museum where you can experience tiles and pottery culture from around the world.

There are 6 section in the facility, and you can not only see and learn, but also touch the tiles and participate in workshops. There is also an Italian restaurant, so it's a spot where you can enjoy a whole day with your family.

Pottery Trail

Tokoname has prospered as a pottery production area for a long time, and the "Pottery Trail" still retains the atmosphere of the early Showa period, when it was at its most prosperous. The retro atmosphere from the Meiji to Showa eras is so popular that it is even used as a filming location for movies.

There are two routes in the "Pottery Trail": Route A and B.

・Pottery Trail A Route (1.6 km | Time required: about 60 minutes)
You will walk through a space that conveys a unique atmosphere and history, such as brick chimneys and kilns, factories with black walls, and slopes made from scrap pottery.

Mentai Park

​Mentai Park is a theme park specializing in mentaiko (seasoned cod roe) operated by Kanefuku, a long-established mentaiko producer. There are five locations nationwide, and in the Tokai area, it is located in Tokoname City, on the Chita Peninsula in Aichi Prefecture. This is the only park in the Chubu region.

It is a spot where both adults and children can play and learn, such as a mentaiko factory that can be visited for free, a direct sales store of freshly made mentaiko, a food court, and a mentaiko museum!
