Tokoname (Aichi Prefecture)

Tokoname City is located on the Chita Peninsula in western Aichi Prefecture. It is one of the six ancient kilns of Japan and is a pottery production area with a history of 1,000 years. It is easily accessible from Nagoya in about 30 minutes by train, so it can be used as a spot for a day trip.

It is also recommended to go a little further and stop by the "Rinku Area" where the Central Japan International Airport Centrair is located.

"INAX Museum" is operated by LIXIL in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture, the city of pottery. This is a hands-on museum where you can experience the culture of tiles and pottery from around the world.

Minamichita (Aichi Prefecture)

The Chita Peninsula is surrounded by Mikawa Bay and Ise Bay. The Chita Peninsula is a very popular driving course, with an abundance of cafes with a view of the sea and places to taste seafood.
