I'm curious about the new sauna facility "HARE-TABI SAUNA & INN" that opened in Yokohama's Chinatown in April 2023! So, I went right away.

It is supervised by Mr. Hiroshi Ota, who produced the very popular sauna facility "Karumaru Ikebukuro". In the women's sauna, "Chimney Sauna," you can enjoy self-lounging with Chinese tea, and there is also a Chinese herbal water bath.

Access to “HARE-TABI SAUNA & INN”

The location is a 7-minute walk from Motomachi-Chukagai Station on the Minato Mirai Line, and a 5-minute walk from Ishikawacho Station on the JR Keihin Tohoku Negishi Line. Great location in the middle of Chinatown.

It's within walking distance from Yokohama Stadium, so it's recommended for events and returning from watching baseball games.

Take the elevator to the 2nd floor where the reception is located.

This time I used the day trip sauna. (Reservation not required for day trip sauna)

The usage fee includes rental bath towels and rental face towels, as well as shampoo and conditioner, so you don't have to bring anything!

In the women's sauna, "Chimney Sauna," you can enjoy self-loyly Chinese tea.

On this day, there were two kinds of tea: oolong tea and jasmine tea. The oolong tea had mint added for the summer season only, and the temperature rose dramatically as it was heated, creating an amazing perspiration effect! It was not suffocating at all, yet it warmed me up from the core.

Jasmine tea has a mild aroma and is very relaxing! The tea leaves are from the Chinese tea specialty store "Goku," so it was a very luxurious moment when the sa room was filled with the most exquisite aroma.

Carefully selected Chinese herbal water bath to soothe your flushed body

The Chinese herbal water bath cools down your body after the Chinese tea ceremony. The bath uses Chinese herbs from the long-established Chinese herbal medicine shop "Kouseido". The slight aroma of Chinese herbs will soothe you, and the vibrancy will cool you down.

After cooling down, it's time for a break. There are four types of ventilation devices installed on the ceiling, so you will be surrounded by a pleasant breeze that will make you feel as if you are bathing in the open air.

Sauna drinks to enjoy in the bathroom

There is a full lineup of sauna drinks, including starter drinks to increase perspiration and supply drinks to replenish water and minerals. If you order from the intercom in the locker and powder room, the drinks will be delivered to your bathroom!

Being able to enjoy a cold drink while relaxing is a luxury. This time, I tried a "detox te"' based on Pu'er tea, and it left my body feeling refreshed and more relaxed.

Enjoy sauna food and craft beer after sauna

After the sauna, we toasted with "Sa Travel," a craft beer developed with Yokohama Beer Brewery that is perfect for after sauna! It was refreshing and easy to drink.

At Jukei Hanten Main Building, a Chinese Sichuan cuisine restaurant, if you present your Haretabi Sauna receipt, you can enjoy a limited sauna meal menu.

In the "morning sauna (7:00-9:00)," which is available only for guests staying overnight, the men's and women's saunas are said to be switched, so next time I would like to stay overnight and use the sauna.
